The year is 1983. Madonna releases her first album. 80 million Cabbage Patch Kids get adopted. President Reagan announces Star Wars. And Tanglewood Productions is born.
Tanglewood originally began in Michael Eardley's private studio, as a creative outlet from his job as lead singer for MGM Grand's "Hello, Hollywood, Hello."
Word of Tanglewood's high end production values and creative vibe quickly spread among local musicians, producers and performers.
As the studio grew, projects started coming out of the woodwork. Before long the Tanglewood team was writing, scoring, directing and performing on a regular basis.
By 1990 the demand was so great that Tanglewood moved into new commercial facilities and added advertising to the mix, pioneering high quality radio and television production in a market accustomed to run of the mill spots. Apropos for Reno, it was a gamble - and ultimately a big win.
In 2000 Tanglewood purchased and renovated a 5,000 square foot creative space, including a radio production room, a non-linear video editing room, a video film and sound stage, and a spacious music recording and mixing facility.
Tanglewood's reputation continues to grow- an achievement but not an end in itself. In a nutshell, we're about combining top talent and state of the art technology to bring your dreams to life.
